Alena Silchanka

QA tester

Analyzing stuff: that is what I love to do. At Spindle, as a QA engineer, I investigate requirements for new functionalities that our developers have built. My role is not just about testing, but also about preventing bugs and working on the process of building high quality software. I always look for broken pieces of functionality to fix. Outside working hours I love dancing, especially Argentinian tango and Argentine folklore dances. That really fits me, because I’m a passionate and vibrant person and I like to connect with other people.

Since my colleagues invited me to go climbing, I’m really into that too. It’s a really nice way of relaxing, but it also requires me to think about the next step really quickly, so it’s a bit analytic as well. Besides dancing and climbing, I also like to spend time with my family and friends. I love to read and listen to podcasts, mostly in my native language Russian since I’m from Belarus. My interests are psychology and everything related to the functioning of the human brain and body as a whole.
